Lentivirus production is affected by many factors, the transfection reagent plays a major roll among them. Obviously your choice of transfection reagent and method determines your transfection efficiency, which is a critical step toward a successful virus production. Equally important, a transfection reagent strongly affects percentage of infectious virus produced. High transfection rate does not necessarily result in a high number of viral particles packaged. High number of viral particles packaged does not necessarily mean high number of infectious viral particles produced. Residual trasfection reagent left in the medium or on the cell surfaces affects the packaging cell health, biochemical processes involved in virus packaging and the viral particle infectivity. LV High Titer Transfection Reagent is specially formulated for lentivirus production with high transfection efficiency (up to 100%), least cytotoxicity, no destructive interference to virus packaging and above all, stabilizing packaged virus particles to maintain a high infectivity. |
